Well here it is! My homemade electric lead pot. I used a defrost heater from a refrigerator for the element. This one is 750 watts, more than enough. I coiled it up in the botton of the coffee can and put a stainless bowl on top, which happen to be the same diameter as the can. It works great!
I sits on the shelf along side my homemade tumbler! I'm sick & cheap, I know.

I made a home made one from a stove eye, a Club Aluminum pot, and a short piece of cast iron pipe to sit around it and help hold in heat. Worked great.

I used a 3500 Watt oven element the pot will hold a little over 60# and is bottom pour. Machine is automatic. Gotta love keeping junk around.

One of the guys I work who is a reloader too with saw my homemade melter and now he wants me to build him one too. I guess now I'm in the melter making business. Do they still make coffee cans out of metal?
