    Round count roundup

Ok folks, post your round counts! Everyone got at least 1,000 of each caliber? I just did mine today and found my newest caliber is also my highest round count, owing to the 3 cases I bought from ammoman.

    7.62x39: 3,060
    .223: 1,240
    9mm: 1,935
    .22LR: 1,400
    ----------------
    TOTAL: 7,635

For the purposes of this count, list only completed cartridges, not reloading supplies.

Say, this is an amusing exercise! Looks like I need to sit my butt at the bench and get to work on that press, especially in the 7.62x39 area.

    7.62x25: 770
    7.62x54R: 400

Absolutely. This is a common, normal, and socially acceptable behavior and there is no good reason to hide in shame because we like to shoot guns and take the responsibility seriously enough to practice and maintain proficiency.

As for my own round count, I don't total 'em up until the new year so I don't know what I'm at yet.

Looks like I need to get busy!

    9MM: 1,100
    .38 spcl: ~100 handloads
    .357: ZERO!
    .45 ACP: 200 handloads
    .223: ~500
    .22LR: 200

I do have components to load ~2,000 each of .45 and .38/.357.

I was sorting through my gear last night before seeing this thread. I wish I had kept a better count now. Oh well. Let's see.
Just round about estimates based on what I saw last night in my ammo cans....
    .380- ~200 rounds.

    9mm- ~500 rounds

.223/5.56- ~800 - 900 rounds. Not nearly enough to load the more than 3 dozen hi cap mags I have for my 2 ARs. Note to self-I need more .223 ammo.

12 gauge- ~200 rounds of 000, 00 and slugs and 4 rubber (less lethal) rounds.

.22 cal- ~1500 rounds with a mix of Long Rifle, Magnum and even a few Short.

    .357- ~ 35 rounds. I don't even own a 357 revolver anymore but I still have bullets for one.

.20 gauge- 1 round. I have no idea. I found it last night while sorting stuff. I don't even own a 20 guage shotgun.

.410 gauge- 1 round. Again, I don't own a .410 shotgun but I did many years ago and somehow still have one shell.

    after the edit-
    I almost forgot...
.45 APC- ~40 . I found a box of about 40 lead ball rounds in one of my cans last night. Again, I don't own a .45 pistol but over the years have somehow gotten a small box of this.

I try to keep about a case of each thing I shoot on hand, and try to pick a brick of .22 each time I'm through Wallyworld.

Not really sure, although the fact that I have to drag it all to a new Army post every few years limits it somewhat.

But probably at least 3,000 rounds of various calibers, from 22LR to 12 gauge.

Why? I just bought 1,000 small pistol primers, 1lb of 231, and 1,000 165gr 40S&W bullets... why shouldn't that count as 1,000 rounds of ammunition? I could certainly turn it into 1,000 loaded rounds in an industrious day and consider it as such for my own purposes.

Now, if you say that hinting that it might need to get shot all of a sudden and wouldn't have time be handloaded, anything more than 50 rounds of pistol ammo and/or 300 or so round of of rifle ammo seems, to me, to be irrelevant anyway.

10,000 rds is my personal minimum for each major centerfire caliber - 9mm, 5.56, 7.62x39, and 308

Lets just say I'm stocked well beyond that.
