    I just moved to Tennessee...

    ...now where can I go shoot.

    To narrow that down, I'm in Clarksville.

    I'm going from memory so bear with me;

    Indoor range in Hopkinsville, small but I hear it's nice, just wasn't close enough for me.

    Indoor range on the HWY towards Nashville, ASP I think it's called. Not bad, there is a sign on the HWY for it, think it's exit 30 or so.

    I prefer the TN state range outside of town near Southside, http://www.tennessee.gov/twra/firingranges.html

    For shops (if you're military with orders letting you buy in KY) I really like Gun and Knife Country just off post. Steve and Sara have been great to deal with since I've been there!

    TN Valley Guns is also a very nice shop on the TN side.

    PM me if you have any other questions. It's a nice area or at least it is for me :-)

    There's Prentice Cooper State Forest which is in the Chattanooga area. As well, there are atleast two indoor range around there too (Carter's Shooting and some other place).

    These are the only ones I know of.

    Thanks. I'll have to go find some of these places next weekend. I don't have internet at home yet, so I haven't been able to keep up with the responses.

    What are the laws as far as shooting in the state forrest?

    I agree, it is a very nice area.

    Well, it has its own shooting range section, 25 yard, 50 yard, and 100 yard.

    There are about 4-5 becnhes per lane.

    The only rules are to not shoot shotguns there. And do not bring anything like trash (tires, pumpkins, etc.) to shoot. I tried to shoot a pumpkin today but they wouldn't let me. It attracts the wildlife to the range which they don't like.
