    Nat'l Ammo Day

Anybody else seen this? I figure it's a good excuse to go to the gun shop if nothing else.

    No A.D.'s here please!

I think this is superfluous - every day since the election has been ammo day around here.

Well, I don't have much 12ga birdshot stored away, so it looks like a good time to go pick up a big box or two

Only thing I found available is shot gun shells, and not the ones I want.

No 9mm, 40,38,357, or 45 except for the expensive SD rds, and not many boxes of them.

I did my part, bought nearly 600 rounds. Not as much as I have in years past. But this year I did buy a caliber for which I don't yet have a firearm. Few more weeks it should be here, and when it arrives I'll have plenty of ammo for it.

I bought a hundred rounds for my shotgun. I intended to buy even more but I ran out of time to get to another store this evening. Tomorrow, probably...

I don't see the point, unless people are actually shooting more. This is akin to the "boycott the gas pump on Friday" deals. People will just fill up on Thursday, not drive less. Orchestrating purchases you were going to make anyway to a single day doesn't really make any economic impact.

2 boxes of .45LC and 2 boxes of .380 Hornady PD

I had to wait 20 minutes because the store was so busy (Good to see!)

Did my part. 100 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 9mm 147 gr. Expensive stuff, but performance is impressive for std pressure. I prefer the heaviest bullet I can get in any caliber I carry for self-defense. That's 200 gr .38 Spl (FBI load); 158 gr .357 mag; 95 gr .380 ACP; 147 gr 9mm; 180-200 gr .40 S&W; 230 gr .45 ACP.
