Prices for 1000 round case of 7.62x39 Wolf ammo: what are they in your area?

Back in February I bought a case of 1000 rounds for $200 at a gun show. Last week I picked up two cases for $250 each at a local gun range/shop (Cabellas was totally out). Today I see the gun range has upped their price to $275 per case of 1000 rounds of FMJ. I'm in the Kansas City area.

What are prices and availability in your area?

$250/1000 at Academy for Monarch. Perhaps a bit better than Wolf but still steel cased.

Generally not worth buying locally. Dunham's had it at 4.99/20 (=250/1000) but didn't seem to have much in stock. Mail order from ammoman or AIM is a good bet.

Haven't seen a case of Wolf for sale in a store in quite a while.

No 'cases' available here, just 20rd Wolf for $6.

    $279.90 at J&G Sales. I think that's up $100 from a few months ago when I split a case with my Father-in-Law.

Because of this thread and also liking to know what local 'supplies' are available, prices and otherwise,I went a hunting for 762x39 cases here in the Vegas local area.Mostly been picked over and much of what remains is at a (again) higher prices.I was offered a couple of cases for $340 per and was also told 'its going up again'.

None left in Moscow Idaho, generally $5.99 / 20 round box.

In Lewiston Idaho it is pretty close in price.

That is at Tri-State ans sureshot.

I just paid $180 shipped for 500 rounds from CTD, and they have cases of 1000 for $250 + shipping.

I picked some up online for $224 incl. shipping, but I see that's gone up this past week. Locally it has been going for $5.25/20. Best hope Russian relations don't sour to the point of a trade embargo on ammo and the likes. With the Big O running the show and Hillary running the State Dept that's a real possibility. I'm trying to replace what I shoot each week for the time being. Hopefully prices will stabilize and drop a bit in the near future barring any stupid legislation.

Looks like greed is the name of the game in Vegas. Order it online and save almost $100. I bought some at my local dealer for $210 because they had a big stack just come in. Now it has gone up like $30 or so. Still better than those price gouging buttholes in your area.

Most stores had it for around $220 before the rush. Now I wouldn't know. I just know the place I deal with still has Wolf at $175 per 1000. He even still has some Norinco armour piercing ammo from way back. The owner has resisted the temptation to reap quick profits at the expense of long term loyalty. And he has won my loyalty as a result. I've been buying stuff at some other shops because they were closer. Now he will get the first crack at my business every time.
