Tango Down ARC Magazines

Has anyone seen or heard anything about new M4 mags from Tango Down? Looks like another entry into the market the PMag opened up, but I don't see much detail on the Bravo Company website, and Tango Down's website doesn't seem to make any mention of them at all. Not sure if they do anything that a PMag doesn't do (or USGI mags for that matter), in any case.

I heard about these after SHOT 08 and almost nothing about them since.

For that matter, does anyone know anything about the CAA Countdown magazines?

Strange.

I didn't know they were intended for the SCAR -- when I handled and shot one, it was equipped with steel 30 round mags FN is making for the weapon in-house.

The lack of a floor plate on the mag makes it sound kind of like a one-use disposable deal in military service. The mag's definitely going to get dusty and cruddy at some point downrange, and "just hose it out" seems like a so-so solution.

As it was explained to me, the ARC is supposed to be a "sealed" unit. There's not really a way for the crud to get out, but there's supposed to be fewer ways for it to get in.

I'd reserve judgment, but it's just a dumb idea. There, I said it.

The two-part construction is interesting. I'm entirely unclear as to what the point is, but it's interesting.

They're about 2x the price of a PMAG on BravoCo's site.
