A very odd Carcano wandered in here a while back.

It DOES NOT take the standard Carcano bolt--that one is too long.

It's been bubba'd, so I don't know what length barrel. It IS 6.5mm, and does not appear to have gain twist rifling. It looks like it probably had adjustable rear sight--it has a stub where it used to be. Someone chromed the trigger housing at some point.

It's got the standard trigger housing, but I wonder if it may have the contract Japanese receiver?

Any help appreciated.
