    Bragging on My Kids

Sometimes, as a parent, you just have to brag.

The gun club we're in has an NRA, Youth Air Rifle team. My teens normally form 1/2 the Silver team when they go to matches.

For various reasons, they were only able to send one team to this weekend's match -- one Gold team member and 3 Silver team members including my kids.

Out of a dozen teams they were the only non-ROTC team and they placed 3rd with a team total of 922 out of 1200.

    I'm one proud mom.

The 8yo shoots too, but he hasn't mastered all the positions yet so he doesn't do matches.

When he and the half-dozen other new shooters have mastered all 3 positions we'll have a 3rd full team.

Oh No! Kids shooting guns! What's the world coming to?

Nice job, KillerB's. Give a kid a hobby that challenges the mind and body, you've kept them out of a lot of trouble. That whole "Idle hands" thing. The fact that your kids are good at it is a bonus. Good scores! Please pass along the Kudos to them.

yes, I play the bagpipes. No, I don't wear a skirt. It's called a kilt.

You have every right to be bragging.
