    the BP saa clone

    ive read about them, ive seen one ad for the uberti/pietta clone of the 1873 SAA that is a cap and ball gun. Just who sells them these days?

    I have both the Pietta and Uberti models with 7-1/2" barrels. I believe Uberti no longer manufactures the 1873 cap and ball replica including the Bisley model, which I regret not having purchased.

    I believe Bass Pro shops sells one also I think it was made by Traditions

    These are nice revolvers. About every month, one comes up for sale on one of the auction sites. If you want a Bisley version, it would run about $130-150 to buy the Uberti Bisley grips, triggerguard and backstrap to do the conversion. I have a couple of these guns, but don't recall having seen the Bisley version. Now I'm thinking it might be an interesting project...

    Attraction. Lets see.

    1. Black Powder revolver
    2. Beauty of the 1873 style
    3. More economic than a similar cartridge gun.

    Bezoar, I have a Pietta 1873BP SAA gunfighter 4 5/8" bbl. Comes with web belt nylon holster, seven xtra cylinders each in nylon pouches on belt, cylinder loader included. $375 + USPS Priority One, insurance, notice of delivery. PM or email me if interested. It's a good deal.
