Where to get custom grips for officers model 1911

Having a hard time finding what I am looking for with google searches, hoping some of you can help me out.

Dads birthday is coming up and thought I would try to find a set of fancy wood grips for his Colt Defender. I have found some wood grips (hogue and similar) but am looking for something fancier. Burl wood, desert ironwood, etc. Anybody know of any custom grip manufacturers websites that have officers model grips?

    I appreciate any help.

Esmeralda makes really beautiful wood grips for 1911's and they are very reasonably priced. I ordered a set of BHP grips from her and been very happy with what I received.

I have a set of his grips and they look great. He got them to me quick, and he was very responsive to questions.

Opinions are something that you have when you don't have the facts. When you have the facts, you don't need an opinion.

The concept of "foolproofing" something is silly. Fools shouldn't be using things that need to be proofed against them.

+1 for Wicked Grips. I know Ed from another forum and he made me a set for my Hi Power that are great, and he'd never made a set for a Hi Power prior to mine. He specializes in 1911 grips and makes some WICKED A$$ GRIPS. He's a cool guy and will definitely do right by you.
