How to go from Harris bipod to Picatinny Rail ?

Anybody know how to mount a GG&G type bipod on a standard Rem 700 ? It's easy to find an adaptor to go from Picatinny Rail to Harris bipod but I have never seen it the other way ,

    Thanks,Keith

I'm not sure I understand. You mean; "How do you mount a short section of Picatinny rail on a Rem 700?"

You get a short section of rail and screw it to your stock. GG&G sells "adapters" for their bipods that are essentially just short sections of Picatinny rail, but they don’t say anything about them or what their exact application might be. I'm sure if you called GG&G and told them what you want to do, they'd have something helpful to say. Brownell's sells rail sections. Fulton Armory sells a small rail for the M1A, but no doubt it could be mounted on most any stock forend. It's not as if you need it to be perfectly parallel to the barrel.

    Yes you got it

I thought maybe somebody made one the would mount by using the sling stud threaded hole,

    Thanks,Keith
