What's the deal on Strider knives?

I noticed that the Marines have issued their SOG with the Strider SMG, and was wondering what makes Strider knives so special?

Also what is the difference between the Strider SMG & SNG?

I'm looking for a good knife to add to my grab & go tactical vest.

Never heard of an SMG, I carry a SnG and love it. Back when I lost my other SnG Josh at Strider replaced it! So yea I like Striders and think they are a fine company.

The Strider SMF folder isn't too bad if you get a good one. I've had a few and some can be hit or miss in the fit/finish department. Good warranty service though. To me, their knives aren't worth the money for the delivered product.

I won't buy anything from him and wouldn't carry one if given it.

I carried an SMF for awhile, and owned a few other models. I originally took issue with the sporadic quality I experienced overall, however after reading all the reports on the owner(s) I parted ways with the knives quickly. The maker is part of the package when I buy a handmade/custom knife and in this case I can't support people like them.
