I Need Help With Search Function

I occasionaly have trouble with the "search" function and was hoping someone could help me out.

As an example, today I entered "SR9", "sr9", and got the following result:
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

"Sr 9", and "sr 9" produced this result:
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : 9

I then tried "Ruger SR9" and got many pages of results for "Ruger" but not so much (if any) for the SR9.

Is there something about the search function that I don't understand? I have run into this problem before with other searches with diferent terms and just let it slide. I thought this time I would ask and maybe find out how to get more use from this forum.

The quotes tells the forum to search for a phrase but it may not be specific enough because it will match any thread with a post that mentions "Ruger SR9"

You may also want to try changing "Search Entire Posts" to "Search Titles Only" which reduces the result set to 56.
