Smile Help please! How do you close a thread in the

FOR SALE - classified section here? (I asked this in a PM but the one moderator may be too busy to put this up. I did not ask the second moderator.)

The LINK that I see leads to a .org explanation for their classified ads.

I can't READ the LINK at all. You have to SIGN IN to read it over there. I don't remember my password for the .org site and for now - I do NOT post there. My choice until Oleg wins back his stolen website. So since I can't SIGN IN over there - I have no permission to read the explanation over there or the classifieds over there.

So can someone who goes THERE, reads, posts, etc. - sign in there and POST/PASTE the explanation for the classified section on closing a THREAD if something of mine should sell? Thank you!

I want to post some items HERE in the classified section and be able to CLOSE a THREAD - post it if they sell.

Will someone please help me with pasting the explanation for a regular person to close a For Sale item in the classified section?

    Thank you very much!

    Catherine:
In a thread that YOU start, there will be an option under "Thread Tools" to close the thread. (look at the top of the posts, on the right side, there should be a drop-down menu)
You should be able to see it on this thread, and assuming that I'm right, you could even try it out, I suppose.

This should be added to the sticky at the top of the Classifieds section, also (if a moderator wanders through)

On a completely unrelated note ... whatchya selling?

Hi Catherine, which link is leading to .org? At the top of each for sale forum is a sticky post with instructions on closing the thread.

    Hello SW,

    This one here:

    3. When your gun is sold, post a reply to your thread stating that the gun has been sold, and then close the thread. Thread closing instructions can be found here.

    http://thehighroad.us/showthread.php?t=148953

    http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=340017

That LINK leads to the other one on .org in closing a thread.

    Dave,

Thanks for the tip. I have a list that I am getting together here. A couple of guns, some books, holsters, belt, cases, etc.

I just fixed the link to point to .us instead of .org. Thanks for the heads up.
