    Post Event...

Wow what horrible weather! It went from light rain and fog to intermittent downpours. It sure would be nice if the shooting stands didn't have a bunch of holes shot in them <sigh>.

Anyway, thanks to the few die-hards who came out, it was good to see the regulars and nice to meet the new folks.

and thanks to you for arranging it-

the weather may have been poor, but the company was good.

the four hour drive was a bit much for me, and I am a bit achey today, but I am looking forwardto next months!

Nice to put some faces to some names.

It was loads of fun, hope I get to do it again some time. I'm with Ramone and the four hour drive was a bit much, but well worth it for a good time and putting faces to names.

I'm a bit sad because you saw such a low-key event. On a high turnout day it's more like a carnival.

Eh, I'm a low-key kinda guy usually. Yesterday was actually way more my speed than a carnival would have been. I enjoyed it very much and I'm happy I could at least come once.

What's the word on April? I looked at the web site and saw something about a possible change of venue. It has been ages since I've been to Staunton and I've never been to a SSNG. My shooting buddies don't usually like going out there (long drive) but I liked the covered shooting area and the grassy area next to it.

No word yet, I just had surgery and will be in recovery for 4-6 weeks so the April shoot is looking pretty unlikely at this point.
