    Bow info

Cleaning out garage and found an old longbow I had as a child. What length string should it use? It is stamped BB 60" 22 24" vertically above the grip. Any idea what those markings mean? The 60" is how long the bow is. May string it for my daughter to learn on.

Do a search for Tradgang.com and see if you can find an answer there. I make my own bowstanings and could probably do it but I have to have the bow in hand to get it right.
You will probably looking for a knock to knock string length of 56"-58" depending on what the best brace height for the bow is.
Also before you string it look it over VERY closley for cracks, delaminations and other defects. having a bow come apart at full draw can cause serious injuries.
Some people are like slinkies. Not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
