    XD Striker Retaining Pin replacement?

    Anybody out there have any experience with ordering some from hardware suppliers or getting 'em from Lowes/Home Depot/Fastenal, etc (local stores)?

    I know Powder River has 'em, but they're $12 for 3 pins, and being the cheap SOB that I am (and I know a few XD owners that would take some), I'm looking at Grainger's site and see Spring Pins
    Of the pins on the page, I'm assuming the replacement for the XD would be the 1/8" x 7/16" Spring Pin? (100 pins per bag):

    Powder River sez they're 3mm x 11mm-looking at Grainger's offerings, I'm guessing the 1/8" x 7/16" spring pin would fit?
    3mm = .118110”
    1/8” = .1250”

    11mm = .433070”
    7/16” = .4375”

    www.pistolgear.com

    I got both XD45 and XD9 pins from them.

    I tried the measure-and-look around, and never found them locally.

    Good luck!

    The ones at Pistol Gear look like standard spring pins-I'm kinda looking for the rolled type-don't know if it's true, but 'they' say the roll type is better!?

    Nope, the ones that I purchased were roll pins.

    Their description advises crimping one end to get them started, which is correct.

    The image at Pistol Gear is fuzzy-it doesn't look like the spiral wrap type-'course, it doesn't look like a regular roll/spring pin either?

    Yours look like the one on the left or right (look at the ends).

    The single wrap type I've always referred to (incorrectly?) as roll pins over the years-Grainger etc refer to the single wrap ones as slotted and spring pins.

    I'm looking at the type on the right, which is 'supposed' to be better.

    That being the case, I'll have to put 'em on my short list!
