    Mossberg 46M(b)

Just bought a .22 from a friend of mine, an old Mossberg. It's in decent shape, even has the (Most likely) original weaver tube scope and Mossberg No. 8-A mount. Only thing wrong with it is the spots where someone tried to "Bubba" in a dovetail. He originally bought it at a yard sale years ago from an older fellow, who tried to grind it. Looks like a good shooter. Clean rifling and intact bolt shield. Been wanting a bolt action .22 S-L-LR for a long time.

Used to have one of those years ago. It was my "go to" gun for tree rats. I took more than my fair share of them with it!

It has a neat little feature on the stock, a compass. Did they normally come with these?

Edit: Are open sights and peep sights generally available?

    Here's a picture. It's a neat little rifle for $100.
