Thanks guys! Actually beginning the long wait for a flight out as I type this, but looking forward to getting back.

Hello GRM, Johnny Doller sent me the link to this site, so thought I'd Give it a try.
I grew up in Western Massachusetts (So I understand restrictive gun laws). My father was an avid hunter/fisherman and he passed that love for it to me. Enlisted in the Marine Corps before my senior year in HS and went to boot camp shortly after graduating (on my dads birthday). Stationed in Yuma AZ, N.C., 3 years in Okinawa and multiple deployments to various locations. Retired in 06 dam I miss it. The wife and I stayed here in N.Carolina. I worked at a motorcycle dealership in parts and service up untill last Oct when the economy finaly shut it down. Still have a couple of guns and ammo I want to get so need to find more income again. May try my hand at going to school but I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Well thats it in a nut shell, be seeing ya in the posts.

Greetings all; I'm a NE Oregon, High-Desert resident, born and raised here. On a farm until 1993 but went broke and now work for the State. Had a gun in my hand since I was 7, and shot competitive Smallbore from age 15 through College in Cheney, WA. Been all over the Country shooting matches. Got my first handgun in 1978 and CWP in 1984; had one ever since, but this winter decided to get serious and try to work my way up to match shooting. Currently own an old Charles Daly 1911 and a new Kahr CW in .45; and, two S&W Scandiums in .357 that you can't even practice with 'cause they kick so dam bad.
Was looking for a blog site with quality members and think I found it.
Welcome aboard.

Hello everyone, born and raised on the coast in CA, rural influence but still "brainwashed" at least towards firearms, business doing homerepair for about 15 years, then got into EMS and fire here in Albq. NM. after I moved here in 1992.
Then "I realized the obviousness of the truth" of how wrong liberals were towards firearms and most everything else, after a guy tryed to mug me in 1997, I won barely even with years of martial arts training, so I bought a revolver and have been carrying ever since.
Now I'm a para-medic in Albq., I'm constantly reminded now that the best way to deal with the forces of chaos that injure or kill people, whether by nature or by human unawareness or malicious intent, is proper awareness, proper training and the proper tools, water for fire, defib. for heart attack and a gun for a human predator.
I'm a constitionalist, hoping enough people remember our roots and the lessons of history to keep our freedoms intact. Web sites like this can help.

Does that make you the classic "liberal who's been mugged" convert? Then "I realized the obviousness of the truth" of how wrong liberals were towards firearms and most everything else, after a guy tryed to mug me in 1997

How is it going, my fellow friends?
My name is Karina. But you can call me Beard. Not that I have one, it's just an old joke.
I'm a big fan of Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Especially the Gunslinger.
Hi gang. Name's Bill and a Texan. I used to be a pretty avid hand gunner back in the 80s with a small collection of 22s, 25s, a 380, a 357 and a 38 Super. All that is gone and life goes on. About a year ago I decided I want a gun so I went to my range and bought a KT PF9. First time I ever owned a 9mm and I don't care what I heard about the gun and the caliber it shot well and quite powerful.
It was meant to be a CCW but I realized how much fun I missed shooting. Shot 1000-1200 rounds in that little sucker. I decided I want a full size 9mm so I sold it and bought a Sigma 9mm. Had it about two month and already got 500 rounds through it. Later I wanted a Sigma 40 but my range's suppliers can't get any because of backlog (I bought all my guns there.) My RO suggested a Sig P250c 40sw as they were on sale. Checked it out and yea I want it.
It's also my first 40sw gun. Got 300 rounds through it already. Both great guns.
Ok, I'll see y'all at the threads.![]()

There are so many phony or inaccurate gun-rights quotes floating around the web. Here's a good book if you're looking for authenticated RKBA quotes with full citations: Proclaiming Liberty: What Patriots and Heroes Really Said about the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
I'm peasent, and from Alabama.
I found my way here while looking for some info on ruger blackhawks, Looked around and decided I'd like to hang around a bit.
I'm currently on the hunt for info on being able to purchase a drop in cylinder for a .45 long colt blackhawk 4 and 5/8 barrel in .45 ACP.
Have the gun, but not the "convertable" model.
Will slip over and post the question in handguns

Hello Everyone,
I'm Will B. When I tried to think of a cool moniker my mind drew a blank. So, I thought I'd just stick with the original.
I'm a Navy vet, having spent 4 years in the service as an IC men and after getting out I made my way into the oil industry.
My focus in life is on my wife and kids, and what little money I have left over supports my shooting habits.
Good to be here with all of you and I hope to learn all I can.

I post a lot over on Assaultweb. I'm very commited to freedom and liberty. Thankyou for allowing me to participate in your forum.
I know, it reads pretentious but I couldn't think of anything else. I am Jim, from South Carolina and this, like many other things, I came into late. Not quite the liberal who got mugged, rather the liberal who had enough close calls that it finally sank in.
