"God Bless America" - this one won't be good for RKBA.

It's supposed to be a morbid comedy, and they got that morbid part down pat..
Will be released in April. I expect a lot of people won't get the comedy bit*, and the monkey see monkey do aspect of human nature many people don't grasp only ensures some angsty guy with nothing to lose ....

    Here's the trailer:

*I probably will... loved Al Yankovic's Trigger Happy too.

Not good for RKBA but after I saw the Westboro Baptist Church drive by...
Tell you what. When one of your brothers in arms have their funeral protested by...people saying that God wanted them to die because of some...stuff that had nothing to do with their mission...say that you don't find some kind of morbid humour in that.
I'm not gonna stand up for the movie or anything like that but when I saw the Westboro Drive By, I had the urge to scream at the screen "Shut up and take my money!"
Yes, I'm a grown man that loves My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Got a problem?

Danger to RKBA? Or to Reality TV shows?

I think I'd rather watch Falling Down (1993) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106856/ if I wanted to watch a skreed with guns.

If I were an old-timer living in the US, I'd grab my .44, hijack a crap-sucker (I dunno what they call the trucks that cart away contents of septic tanks, but around here, coloquial name is exactly that.. crap sucker), install a water cannon on it in my garage and then hose down the Westboro baptists...

Or maybe, one of them firefighting planes should dump a whole load of bovine urine on their compound. That'd serve the creeps right..

I mean, they earn money by outraging people, making them attack them and then suing. Every one adult there is a lawyer.
It's basically a huge, ugly scam.... trolling people for profit.
Somehow, that seems even worse than someone being a jerk for fun, or because they are jerkish by nature.. jerks don't choose to be jerks often, but Westboro baptists chose to earn their livelihoods by being as offensive as possible...

Was that film political at all? To me, it seemed like a personal tragedy with a dash of social commentary..

The Westboro Baptist Church is a cult. Seriously, watch The Most Hated Family In America.

It's not a Cult. Or at least, that's not the whole story..

It's a scam. They troll people in RL, make them mad, and then sue them if they attack other Westboro Baptists..

    It's a scam.
Since when have the two been mutually exclusive? Many cults have raised money by various forms of scams.

Exhibit A, is of course, the Church of Scientology...

"The best way to make a lot of money would be to invent a religion..." - L. Ron Hubbard.
I'm a skinny, rather geeky, over-educated Englishman living in the small-town MidWest who believes in the 2nd Amendment and the RKBA... my existence messes with people's stereotypes :-)

Yeah, but with WBC, it's not just the leader who is insincere, it seems to me the whole group must be.

What they believe is so completely bat-guano freaking insane!

Lanius, the colloquial term for such a truck in these parts is "honey dipper", or sometimes "turd truck".

BTW, does my written english look foreign, or could I with a modicum of effort pretend to be a native speaker?

I'm just considering an effort into losing my slavic accent. If I'm gonna hitchhike around the US so I would be able to sightsee, I suspect a mid-western or southern accent would put people much more at ease.

Right now I sound mid-way between a KGB man with a bad cold and a Bavarian..
