I hit it.
When AZ was going thru this, it was going to be for AZ residents only. But somewhere along the process, they changed the wording and now Constitutional Carry is available to anyone 21 or over and not prohibited from owning a gun.
That even includes you JD....lol
Hopefully GA will follow suit.

Sounds good!
It would be nice! Then I could visit my brother safely!

Glad I make the cut! That even includes you JD....lol
My wife has relatives in Sierra Vista and Tucson. I always OC there and in New Mexico. We lost OC in Florida in 1987 and are still trying to get it back.![]()

What I really like about this proposal is GA will still issue CCW's for those that want to travel out of state.

What are the odds for the Sunshine State?
When the going gets tough the tough get cyclic!

We have one of America's most pro-gun Governors,Rick Scott. We have overwhelming GOP majorities in the Florida House and Senate. What are the odds for the Sunshine State?
Any yet we have yet to get OC back (lost it in 1987), much less Constitutional Carry. Also there is a laundry list of OL locations to wit:
Places off-limits when carrying:
1. any place of nuisance as defined in s. 823.05
2. any police, sheriff, or highway patrol station
3. any detention facility, prison, or jail; any courthouse
4. any courtroom*
5. any polling place
6. any meeting of the governing body of a county, public school district, municipality, or special district
7. any meeting of the Legislature or a committee thereof
8. any school, college, or professional athletic event not related to firearms
9. any school administration building
10. any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption*
11. any elementary or secondary school facility
12. any area technical center
13. any college or university facility*
14. inside the passenger terminal and sterile area of any airport*
15. any place where the carrying of firearms is prohibited by federal law
So we have so far to go. So many Republicans in the big Urban centres of Miami-Ft.Lauderdale-Orlando-Tampa-St.Pete have no spine.
I despair sometimes. Finally statewide preemption,in effect since 1987, has some teeth, now that politicians are facing stiff fines if they attempt local gun control.
Lots more to do and eventually Dems will start to come back. The big wheel always keeps on turning.![]()

"12. any area technical center"
What's that supposed to mean?
"Gun control is not about public safety, crime reduction, or 'the children.' Gun control is about power. The people have it, and the government would rather they didn't." (An internet poster, not myself.)
