Has anyone laid hands on the STG 44 22lr clone from ATI?

I am REALLY interested in this rifle, curious if anyone has seen/handled/fired one. The MSRP is a wee bit high, be nicer about $100-200 cheaper, but still...

I was hoping one had made it to someone else for evaluation/testing. I think it would be a riot of a fun rifle.

Think I'll pick one of those up when I get the chance (besides It's the only way I would be able to get my hands on an STG-44)

After watching the Vid... It's on my list.

I've been waiting for these also.
I've always wanted an Stg 44 but I know I'll never be able to afford a real one so a .22 replica will have to do.

I just picked mine up yesterday, havent been able to fire it yet, but so far very impressed. the reciever seems to be plastic, but its a sturdy feeling plastic, wood buttstock and grips with metal handguard and adjustable front sight. only gripe thus far is there's a slot down the center of the mag. Its a heavy .22 but like I said so far so good. I'll post more after I hit the range.

I'm surprised; I would have thought zinc.
Guns, if they have a moral dimension, are good. Without guns, the strong can always dominate the weak; the many can always dominate the few; and men can always dominate women. A gun gives each person an agency equivalent to his (or her) moral standing. In my humble opinion, those who teach correct and proper gun use are doing G-d's work.

I would like a steel one in 7.62x25. I don't know what I would use it for, but I think it would be neat.

Well. took it to the range today, all in all a success.
shot about 150 rds of Remington .22lr (standard Wal-Mart ammo)
no misfeeds or jams, and dead accurate at 50yd. The rear stock seems a little wobbly for my tastes, but nothing apocalyptic. turned a lot of heads as well. next step will be cleaning lets see how painless that is.

I have one. Initial comments: http://olegvolk.net/blog/?s=stg44

It's very reliable. The prototype sights had to be set to 600 mark to be on at 25, but I've been told that got fixed in the production version. The trigger was very heavy at first but improved greatly once the gun was cleaned. While I have not fired it for groups yet, STG shoulders so well that hitting pop cans rapidly at 25 yards was easy. The sole difference from the original STG has been the lesser recoil and report and no overheating from high-volume shooting. Everyone who tried this weapon had the same reaction: "I've got to get me one!"

Is the receiver plastic or metal, Oleg?
