    Browning BSS single trigger problem

It only fires once (Haven't fired it, just have snap caps. It's an unfired early 70s gun I'm helping a friend sell).

Single nonselective trigger. Ejects fine, a bit snug to open and close, and only clicks once when the trigger is worked.

    Easy fix? Discount the gun?

Recoil is what sets the second barrel. With snap caps, pull trigger. Then bump the buttstock on a padded floor and then try the second trigger pull.

Well, that is the way it is supposed to work. If the gun has never been fired, chances are the inertia block is being fouled by something. Maybe old congealed oil. You will probably need to remove the buttstock to have a look and do some cleaning.
