Somehow I can see the utility of having to reach under your top to get to a carry weapon. I mean even the most dense horn dog is going to get defensive if he threatens you and you start reaching for your breasts!

As to the gadget, bear with me. As a great admirer of word play, especially double entendre (and triple, quadruple, etc.) and given your admonition, I will skate on that thin ice.

From an engineering standpoint, I always thought a bra is intended to deal with the problem of unsprung mass. Adding additional mass makes me wonder about comfort. Will we see accessory suspenders to run from the shoulders to the belt at the small of the back? (Beware the CCW wedgie!)

Get your clothing from Omar The Tent Maker (apologies if that is an actual brand ) and you can conceal almost anything almost anywhere on your person. This gadget may be a collaborative effort with Omar.

Even the underside of a woman's cleavage draws a lot of attention from both sexes. Omar wins again.

Videos suggest that access is not an issue, but I doubt the seller would post anything suggesting otherwise. Of course any carry position will come with a need to drill.

And, now, having been a good boy, I must ask: is the pencil test an appropriate way to screen customers?

Photographs or not, I don't see this as very concealable unless the woman is wearing some kind of floppy muumuu (sp?) over it. And it suffers from the same problem confronting men's IWB rigs - by the time you get your gun out, the fight is likely over and you've lost.

My wife took one look and said, "I don't think so!" That can't be comfortable at all, and this is nit the first time this has been tried - Mas referenced a bra holster in his classic book, "In the Gravest Extreme", and said it looked very uncomfortable, too.

Bra holsters (this one's a little strange) have been around for years. Before South Africa fell apart, women were carrying that way, and advertising various devices like that....

A P3AT is very light, and might be comfortable if the bra straps are seriously adequate - the larger gals might already have taken that into account - pads, etc., on the shoulder straps, but little bitty gals likely wouldn't bother with that until a holster made it a good idea.

Don't forget that "deep concealment" really doesn't consider getting to the gun very much. "Thunderwear" or whatever it's called these days involves digging into your crotch (or unbuttoning/unzipping) to get to the gun, although it's supposed to be fairly comfortable. Never tried that. "Tuckables" also exist - IWB's that are designed to let you put your shirt over them. Also very slow, but some people like them. I don't....

There's also a thing out there called "Kangaroo" or something like that. Imagine a cupless bra with a couple of holster-like things more or less under the arms. This is worn under a shirt of some kind.

Another choice is a belly band - just a wide elastic band with a couple of holsters sewn into it. I had one, but never used it - the one time I wanted it, I realized that a buddy of mine borrowed it.... Never did get it back.... I have a shoulder rig for a small gun, too, but don't much care for it. Just IMHO, buy one of those that has no strap across your front.... A couple of magazines to balance the gun somewhat, and maybe straps to tie to a belt if you're wearing one.

Guess the point is that you can just about wear a gun about any way you want to - it's just a matter of figuring out what looks good on you. Don't forget, too, that most people wouldn't notice if you're Open Carrying.... A little printing won't show. (Except in states like TX or FL, where printing is a bit of a problem....)

"Printing" isn't an issue in Texas, nor is accidental exposure of a concealed handgun.

The crime is "intentional exposure" of your concealed handgun.

I have to keep a little bit of a handle on TX law - my daughter and sister live there, and I was there twice since late last September.

Mom decided to "winter" in El Paso 'round Thanksgiving 2010, and never bothered to return. She wasn't all that well, so the wife and I took a long weekend in September to see her, and then I went back in February to sort of hold her hands. She passed while I was there.... Funny thing - I was supposed to head back the day before, but my daughter conned me into staying 'cause her work schedule had her too busy to spend time with me, and she wanted me to install a showerhead in her new apartment.... Usually, I razz her for being devious, but this worked out. Nice apartment, too, and nice showerhead .

Devious: My dad (he passed in '99) was a Dentist, and had a computer in his office. Becka had seen it. When we moved into our last house (not this one), Becka, at about age 4, noticed that I'd bought a new computer desk and printer stand, and stole all the styrofoam packaging material. She then crumbled it all up and had a ball using a small vacuum to clean it up.

Then, after running out of foam, she asked me "Daddy, does Poppie need a new printer stand?"....
