"If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.” - Dalai Lama (Seattle Times, 05-15-2001).
I like it. I wish I liked their food better, I'd go eat to support them.

People have some respect for the complexity of technology. But almost every ignorant fool thinks he understands money and economics.
I will most definately support them. It would be nice to see more of this attitude from other companies!
Good job,Denny's. Eat that great, greasy, sausage, eggs, biscuit, grits every Sunday at the over 55 price. And now we get the 2A?
It's almost too much!

Good to see that kind of thing on mainstream ads. I was more impressed with the references to the constitution than just 2A. Maybe our political critters will get the hint that We, the People, do not think that the constitution is merely a piece of toilet paper.
I thought the kid holding out the bear's arms was cute.

I liked it. Thought it was informative and funny.
It's a fine line between "it's a hobby"¯ and mental illness.

I just now got to see the whole commercial. Locally they run the first 15 secs as an ad spot. I always got the fisky granny asserting the right to bear arms, but locally they don't get to the part with the kid holding her teddy bear's arms.
Cute commercial and evidence of the re-mainstreaming of the gun culture. Now if we can get back to Sears carrying Ted Williams shotguns, I will know we are out of the 60s exile.
Cogito me cogitare; ergo, cogito me esse.
Carl, there ain't hardly anybody without an AARP card that remembers Ted Williams.
When I was a kid, we went to Sears for something every couple weeks. I've been to Sears 3 times in the last 5 years, and left twice without buying anything.
The times they continue changin'....

In San Diego, Denny's was one of the few places with somewhat "normal" food. Everything else was ethnic-this and ethnic-that
Plus they were always open, which is important when you are working godawefull crazy hours.

What next? David Bradley farm implements? Tell you what I'm gonna do... I will attempt to cut a deal with Marlin to produce .22 rifles and CCI for ammunition under the brand name Don Alejo then offer stock in a franchising arrangement of retail outlets of sporting supplies. Come up with a few more notable people and we can include Coleman camping supplies and archery products of a company to be named later.
So ask yourself... do you miss it enough to invest capital in the idea?

Thanks for that great shot of "The Kid", Terry.
Ted flew 39 missions as a combat pilot in Korea.
Here is a short history of his Korean War service:

^ Thanks for that link... I didn't know he was Astronaut Senator John Glenn's wingman during the war.

You're welcome.Ted had an amazing life. Without missing 6 seasons to 2 wars and injuries, and playing in the wrong park for a left handed hitter, he would own almost all the offensive records in Major League Baseball.
Even so, he did himself proud.Since the deadball era ended in 1920,his .344 lifetime BA is the highest of any major leaguer whose whole career began after that date. And he has the highest BA of any player with over 500 homers.Second only to Ruth in Slugging Percentage at .634. Also he reached base an amazing 48% of the time, the all time record.
And since the sacrifice fly rule did not begin until 1950, his lifetime BA under today's conditions would probably be about .350.
When he hit .406 in 1941 at age 23, it computed to .416 with the sac fly rule in effect.
Will anyone hit .400 again? Someday it will be done.

Ted crossing the plate after hitting a 3 run homer in the 9th to win the 1941 All Star Game. Joe DiMaggio is #5.
