Oh, Gawd! I think now I may have heard everything!

This article is just downright goofy, in my estimation:

    http://www.nj.com/bergen/index.ssf/2...r_farting.html

Really? You would threaten somebody with a gun over an alleged passing of gas?
Or did the windbreaker know the man owned a handgun and decided to get a little revenge?

    The plot thickens....

Gas Trivia. What are the only States of the 50 where you can't pump your own.

Hint:East is east and West is west. Gun friendly and very anti. No searching!

Now back to your regular programming. Zip,please forgive!

Good thing this didn't happen across the border in NYC. Not the alleged pointing of a gun, but the flatulence. Once Bloomberg got wind of it, the next city ordinance to come out WOULD be felony flatulation. Given the population density ... Well, you get the drift.

You can't pump your own gas in New Jersey or Oregon. The gas pumpers in Jersey are union members. In Jersey a failure to tip your gas pumper may get your car keyed when you drive away.

I hope you are being facetious. Otherwise, this is just nonsense.

I am a New Jersey native; my family and I escaped successfully in 1992. In twenty-five years of driving there, I NEVER tipped a gas jockey. I never had my car keyed over it either. It's a good way to earn a fat lip and a body shop bill. I also pumped my own gas in the car as often as not. No one else ever pumped gas into one of my bikes. Maybe the enforcement was lax.

It's a horrible place, I hate to even drive through it. I'll go through Pennsylvania and New York to avoid it on my way to New England. Unfortunately, I'll be driving there this weekend; I have to pick up my daughter in Queens on the way to the Vineyard.

Drive slow on the Turnpike or Garden State with those Carolina plates. But you already knew that.

Guess the neighbor was guilty of a negligent discharge.

ETA: I'm a Bergen County native and spent my early years in nearby Tenafly. Lord, thank you for freeing me from the Garden State.

I bet he was drunk. Alcohol abusers make gun owners look terrible when they combine them.

This is the truly disturbing part of the story:

He consented to a search, and officers recovered a .32 caliber revolver from his vehicle.

I, too, often think I have heard everything but in Detroit it ain't agonna happen. Some examples taken from student writing:

"I am the daughter of a drug addicted prostitute. My mother recognizes me."

"I was absent because my brother died . . . of seven bullets in the head.

"I would like to be in favor of capital punishment, but I can't be as long as my mother is behind bars for murder." (This week's addition)

" I was absent because bail had not been set"

Yes, CIA, that grabbed me, too. Just shows he's a dumb as a bag of hammers. Or drunk. Or both.

No one has EVER pulled a gun on me for farting...hard to aim with tears streaming down your face during constant gagging.
If total government control equals safety, why are prisons so dangerous?

Well, there is consent and there is consent, it depends on what "is" is. In a local county a guy left his car unlocked on his own property and the sheriff's deputy claimed that was implied consent to search the vehicle, including the trunk.

Really... In this location, does the act of NOT having a 6 foot fence with no climb and razor wire imply consent to trespass?

Now do you understand why I advocate citizen review boards with the authority to terminate and LEO's being fitted with shock collars and choke chains?

Well, couple the recent SCOTUS decision with bad tactics, and you will have this done, as apparently the act of NOT having a thing is an actionable item.

I can see you are trying to goad me into rant mode but I will not go there. I forgive you the attempt.
