Beat me to it, kinda:
If handguns are the problem, why is a semi-auto rifle ban the solution?
Gun prohibitionist Josh Sugarmann may have just done the firearms rights community a monumental – albeit certainly unintentional – favor by offering some quotes to a Reuters reporter about the gun used in the Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting.

If the big magazine ban had remained in place until supplies dried up, everyone would be buying .45's. Then they'd blame the problem on the awful "big bullets" these nuts use and call for a ban on those.

Josh Sugarmann is still getting ink? These sad sack reporters have so few sources to consult, the washed up Josh still gets to spout some drivel once in awhile .

'Harry Callahan' Magnum Force 1973
Good thing Judas Sugarman and Fraud Lautenberg weren't in my back yard today watching me shoot 100 yard targets with my 41 magnum. they would have added that gun to their list as being entirely to loud, to much fire, to much recoil and entirely to much fun.
The next nut could just as easily have a double barrel shotgun or a full size Claymore sword or a sack full of flash bang grenades and a can of gasoline. Not the tool they use folks its the nut between the ears that has been allowed to much freedom and now the tiny minds are going to punish the non nuts by attacking the tool of choice. The common denominator in all these killings is the killer is the only one armed.
Hello, 1+1 still equals 2 and unarmed citizens still make the best targets for spree killers. Gee what could the answer possibly be? Just between you me and the neighbors dog disarming the citizen by restricting the boogeyman gun of the month is not the answer.

Even better those to 'notables' were never around my uncle when he was experimenting. They would have had conniption fits followed by bloody diarrhea at 3/4 of the devices he put together in less than an hour.
The man with hate in his heart and evil on his mind will find a method of destruction.
You may think I just fell off the turnip truck but keep in mind I grew the turnips and it's my truck.
well, a revolver is a semi auto to, every pull moves a new round into play
Not that I will any of these kind of things to happen, but I think it would be interesting to see what they would say if someone used a TC Contender for one of these mass killings. I'm sure they would once again call for a ban on all guns, but I think it would be interesting to watch their faces as they struggle to fit a break-action single shot into their horror story mold of gun violence.
The worst things happen at the most critical times, and it's these moments that YOU need to be flawless, not the gun.
