I have to go with the more skilled team at this point. I know magic is hard to beat, but lucky only goes so far. Pats by 10.

OK. Hawks by 7. Hope you are right, Brandon.

Uh-oh! The Pats may have cheated in the playoffs. I may have to re think this prediction.

Winners never cheat and cheaters never win (unless it's the semi finals and you are playing the Colts).

How did the Pats cheat? Balls are used by both teams and the referee's touch the ball before and after every play. Colts used the same balls so there was no advantage. Won't a NFL ref catch that? And I am not a Pats fan, I'm a Steeler.

You are correct,CD. This is a non story. But Sports Media in general hate Bill Belichick. So we now have, Deflate a Gate!

Yeah and the score was like 150 to 7 so the ball pressure didn't help NE's defense stop Indy at 7. I agree it is a non issue.

I am sticking with my prediction above.

I'm reminded that the Nixon Campaign thought that it had to cheat to win the '72 election ...

And Nixon won 49 states to 1. Some irony there .The 1 was Massachusetts. Bill and Tom weren't a factor then though, so, no worries.

How about that ending finish? Talk about a charge ending. Watched it on the big screen on the base theater over here.

Craziest call I ever saw at the end of an NFL title game going back to 1953.
You got Beast Mode, 2 downs to make 1 yard and a timeout.

Guess the Hawks out smarted themselves. But the rookie from West Alabama (really!) made a fantastic INT, literally taking the ball out of Jerome Kearse's hands.

It was fate. They needed 3 miracles against Green Bay to even get to the Supe. They didn't belong here. So today their luck ran out.

I'm glad the Patriots won. Seattle makes my gut churn.

Congrats to Grmlin, the only one to pick the Pats in the poll.

Please send me your mailing address for your winning gift certificate.

This was a fun ride of a thread. Maybe we can do it for the NCAA March Madness basketball craziness.

Yeah, the ending was unfathomable! I almost felt sorry for Pete Carroll!

There is a little gift certificate as a prize. In the OP I mentioned we'd figure out something. You earned it, suffering as you did Sunday until the very last moment.

The Pats were stacking the box and knew they would run it so the Hawks decided to out think them and lost.

The Superbrawl at the end was great. The officials threw so many flags they ran and were resorting to throwing the ball markers. I suppose because it was at the end of the game they didn't toss more players.

The Hawks had me wondering if they were letting Josh Heupel ( the offensive coordinator OU just fired) call the plays at the end.

Quite right. Trying to out think Bill Belichick is usually a losing proposition.Malcolm Butler knew what was coming and jumped to the slant route.

Still, it was a great, great play. One that will be discussed and analyzed decades from now.

Pete Carroll is now the NFL's Bill Buckner.

Let's relive the incredible moment again. When the black screen appears, click the underlined "Watch on You tube":

The expressions of Carroll,Sherman,Wilson and Brady are priceless!
