What Song or Music Are You Listening to Right Now????

Put your videos up or just tell us what you are humming or thinking about musically! I want this thread to last forever! Music keeps us sane more than anything else, IMHO.

Right now, this is on my Stereo:

I "borrowed " this thread heading from Glock Talk. It started in April,2014, a bit over 2 years ago. As of today there have been over 9000 replies. That seems to average about 12 a day.

Obviously, that is a very vibrant forum. THR & TFL allow no such off topic threads. It's easy to see why GT is successful. They even have a political sub forum.

For reasons that remain dark to me,almost everyone from about 2012 has left and never come back. Opening up this sub forum and EOL have not moved the needle to any extent.

It may not be possible to ever resurrect GRM into anything resembling vibrancy. Any comments?

I agree. It's been so long since I've been here that I forgot my login info and have gone through 2-3 computers since... was forced to start over with a new account even. No one seems to be actively operating this board, I posted last night and got spammed. Oleg must be busy with facebook and twitter. lol.
BTW old friend, you might remember me better as Throttle Jockey...

Absolutely, Throttle Jockey! One of my old compadres from back in the day. It's very cool to hear from you again!

Are you still out there on those lonely roads? And thanks for the song.

Duets: Kenny Rogers and Some Great Company

I believe most of you here like Kenny Rogers. Some of you may even love Kenny! So for a few days or longer, I'll put up some great duets of Kenny singing with some great ladies. We'll start with Dolly Parton who always has had great chemistry with our man.

Written by Barry Gibb in 1983, originally for Marvin Gaye. This D&K version is from 1983. It reached #1 on Billboard, a rare achievement for a duet.

I must really be in a Blue mood, now I keep thinking about Irving Berlins Blue Sky as sung by Data (Brent Spiner) in Star Trek Nemesis.

1980. Kenny, just his lonesome self, with my all time favorite Kenny song. Written just for him by the great Lionel Ritchie.

We will now shift gears and go to the 1968 Academy Award winning song, from the Steve McQueen flick, The Thomas Crown Affair.

Sung by the wonderful Dusty Springfield. (1939-1999)

As an added bonus, here is a clip from the film, with Noel Harrison warbling, and Steve being the daredevil in the glider!

    Faye Dunaway looks on.
