Just watched a pre-screening of the movie "12 Strong" (original Horse Soldiers) here in Afghanistan. Its about ODA 595 initial push into Afghanistan and using horses to fight the Taliban. Entertaining movie but I noticed no Team Sergeant. Movie starts on Jan 19th. Its been a long 16 years.

Body armor should have been the SPEARS BALC but most of the details are correct for the time period. Events and sequence did happen that way IIRC. Movie held pretty close to events. Only thing I know that was different was done by the BN CDR and not the ODA TM LDR as the movie shows, minor variance.
