    School Shooting Highlands Ranch Colorado

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — One person is dead and at least seven students are injured following a shooting at STEM School in Highlands Ranch Tuesday afternoon.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says two suspects are in custody and they do not believe there are additional suspects.

I'm guessing that when this all comes out we'll find out that the shooters have been on the school's radar for awhile but no one did anything about it. We'll also find that they acquired their firearms completely outside the system and broke a half a dozen existing laws in doing so.

Govenor Polis will still call for "common sense gun reform"

DENVER - An armed security guard, employed privately by STEM School Highlands Ranch, helped apprehend one of the shooters Tuesday.

"He probably saved more lives than he thinks he did," said Tyler Christensen, an 8th-grade student who was near the gunshots. "It makes him a hero. To me, he is a hero."

FOX31 confirmed the security guard was employed through BOSS High Level Protection.

BOSS is a local security agency which contracts with private and charter schools.

"Our guy was instrumental in taking down one of the shooters and we believed he saved a lot of lives," said Grant Whitus, the owner of BOSS.

If the ends sought cannot be achieved through the means granted to the Federal Government in the Constitution, there is neither a need nor the power for the Federal Government to get involved.. B.E.Wood
