Recomend a Shoulder Holster for the Ruger P89

    Howdy, folks.
I need you help me pick out a shoulder holster for a Ruger P89 for a lefty. My criteria is simple.
    Lefty friendly
Able to accommodate other full-sized double stack pistols
Suitable for use in Iraq/Afghanistan (goes well with a USMC Desert MARPAT but probably won't see combat)
Attaches to trousers for around-the-house wear
Capable of holding 2 9mm Double Stack magazines

    Go!

I would get a Galco Miami Classic. It is mass produced and not as expensive as other custom made shoulder holsters. Not to mention there are no waiting times as it can be bought off the shelf.

    Are you a tanker?

I expect it would fit the Ruger with no problem. Has worked well for me and my 1911, and fits multiple handgun types - including my 4" K-frame.

The Galco Miami Classic is a fine shoulder holster. But I don't think it will fit the needs expressed by the OP.

It's leather and will not 'go well' with military gear of the present.
It's holster is molded to precisely fit specific handguns and will not fit other handguns well. Also the magazine carrier is made for specific magazines and does not accept most other magazines. For example, my Miami Classic for the 1911 will not accept magazines with bumper pads as the straps will not reach to close.

You may want to start by checking out some Uncle Mike's shoulder holsters. They make several different models such as Sidekick and Pro-pak that may work for you.
