    sugar and spice

and everything nice… This weekend marks the one year anniversary of shooting with my now 8yo daughter!

    ~48 range visits
~4000 rounds of .22lr (and one round of 5.56 )

to celebrate the occasion, today she completed the requirements to earn her NRA Pistol Marksman skill rocker.

She loves a challenge, listens well, practices hard, and most of all has fun. I look forward to a lifetime of shooting with her

get your kids to the range!

Warms my heart. Congratulations to you both.

My 10 year old is not nearly so interested in the range. Not yet, I hope. I'll keep inviting her, but can't force someone to like a hobby.

(I will insist that she get some training with me at some point; whether it's going to be your hobby or not, everyone IMHO should know how to safely handle a gun, and shoot it with some reasonable accuracy. Even girls!)

    Excellent!

My 4yr old girl went with me once, just to hear it, and stayed in the car with mom. She keeps telling me she wants to go back when she is bigger, just not now.
