    Model 66-5

I acquired a S&W Model 66-5, 3", round butt, with box, papers and master lock. Used, but fine condition. S/N CDB86XX. I looked on GB, none listed. What is one of these selling for and how many were made and DOB. I'm told in passing that the 3" were made in small numbers.
    Anyone, please comment. I'm curious.

It's worth what you paid for it.
    Go here for a history. It'll cost you$50. http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/w...4_757812_image
"...the 3" were made in small numbers..." Both the 66 and 19 were made with 2" barrels with a 'J' frame sized grip too. Only 'K' frame that ever came close to fitting my hand with Pachmayr grips. The Boss in the shop let me take one to shoot. Very comfortable. Should have bought the thing. Poverty got in the way. They're evil, up here, now.
